Pastor Stefanie Rubin has been at the Coldwater Church of the Nazarene since February of 2002. She has been our Children’s Pastor since March of 2008. She enjoys walking and playing with her dog Baylee, hanging out with the children, family and friends, kayaking, white water rafting and riding her dirt bike. Pastor “Papa” John Tharp ministers to our prime timers and enjoys playing pool, golf, southern gospel music and photography. He has been married to his wife Mary for over 50 years. MEET OUR PASTORS My name is Bob Tharp. I have been married to my wife Julie for 25 years and am the father of two boys, Cameron and Alex. I was born in Mt. Clemens, MI and we have lived in Coldwater since October of 2001.  I enjoy photography, golf, collecting cameras and spending time with family and friends. My later teen years and early twenties were a trying time in the area of faith.  I finally surrendered everything to God as a 21 year old, and God called me to full- time pastoring later in life.  My heart’s desire is to allow God to stretch my faith and deepen my passion for doing His will everyday. MY JOURNEY Julie and I began our pastoral journey as ministers to families with teenagers in Topeka, Kansas in 1989.  We went on to serve in Muncie, Indiana for seven years before settling here in Coldwater in 2001.  Coldwater is now our home, and we love the people here very much—they are family! MY STORY I was born into a home with a Christian mother and father. As my dad retired from the navy, he felt God’s call to enter full- time pastoral ministry, and I was in middle school at that time.
